Aceleasi exceptii pentru comparativul de superioritate

eg.: He's the funniest guy I've ever met.

El este cel mai caraghios baiat pe care l-am cunoscut vreodata!

Adjectivele lungi

- the most + adjectiv = cel mai + adjectiv

eg.: This is the most expensive TV set I have ever seen !

Acesta este cel mai scump TV pe care l-am vazut

vreodata

the least + adjectiv = cel mai putin+adjectiv

There is the least beautiful boat I've ever seen.

Este barca cea mai putin frumoasa pe care am vazut-o.

Formarea comparativului si superlativului pentru adverbe este aceeasi ca a adjectivului in afara de adverbele terminate in -ly, vom utiliza mereu : MORE si THE MOST ;

early > earlier ;

devreme > mai devreme ;

Adjectivul din limba engleza nu se schimba dupa gen, numar si caz Singurul mod de marcare formala este comparatia

Categoria gramaticala a comparatiei este concretizata in limba engleza ca si in limba romana -3 grade de comparatie

gradul pozitiv - prezenta normala a unei calitati,

fara a se face o comparatie

eg.: He is tall.

( El) este inalt

gradul comparativ - compara doua obiecte in

masura egala (comparativ de egalitate )

a)de egalitate

eg.: He is as tall as his sister.

Este la fel de inalt ca sora lui

b)inegala (superioritate):

eg. I'm younger than her.

Sunt mai tanara decat ea.

c)inferioritate:

eg. : This lesson is less intensive than the previous one.

Aceasta lectie este mai putin intensa decat precedenta

La comparativ, termenul comparatiei poate fi exprimat.

eg.:    He is more punctual than the others (sau neexprimat).

(He is more punctual).

El este mult mai punctual decat altii

gradul superlativ arata calitatea comparata in cel mai inalt grad, prin intermediul unei comparatii directe (superlativ relativ: She is the cleverest of all) sau fara comparatie directa (superlativ absolut);

eg.: She is very clever.

Este foarte inteligenta.

Adjectivele formate din doua sau mai multe silabe, adjective compuse, cand doua elemente formeaza un tot din punct de vedere al sensului, comparatia se realizeaza cu ajutorul lui MORE si THE MOST.

eg.:

careful - more careful - the most careful ;

well-known - better -known - the best known;

heart-broken - more heart -broken - the most heart-broken ;

1.GOOD/WELL = better = the best ;

2.BAD = worse = the worst ;

3.FAR = further/farther = the furthest/the farthest ;

4.OLD = older /elder = the oldest /the eldest ;

Further /Farther = distanta

Further mai departat (distanta)

ELDER = mai in varsta ( despre membrii aceleiasi familii - frati si surori - opus lui younger) ;

THE ELDEST = cel mai in varsta (membrii

aceleiasi familii (frati sau surori);
